Calming Grounding Technique

Running on auto-pilot has become a way of life.  Grounding is a simple way to stop, reset and look at things a little differently.

Sitting comfortably, close your eyes (or softly gaze down).  Take a big breath in through your nose and release through your mouth.  Relax your jaw.  Listen.  Acknowledging the sounds around you, hear them and let them be.  Moving past the most prominent sound, what can you hear?

Tell yourself "My day is over. There is not anything I have to do tonight but sleep. Anything else can wait till tomorrow."

It takes practice and repetition
